Why Alavida?

Distinguished craftsmanship, outstanding service.

Our Care Services and Experts

Imagine a carefree, vibrant, active lifestyle in your beautiful home, surrounded by friends and professional staff who truly care. We are an Ottawa-based organization, which means that we have a small, deeply-involved corporate office, and that allows us the ability to listen and adapt to our resident’s needs. And at Alavida Lifestyles, we offer the ability to seamlessly transition from independent to assisted living in one place so that you can maintain the lifestyle and friendships that you’ve made. With all of our incredible services, amenities, events, caring staff, and friends ready to welcome you, we are certain you will love the Alavida Life!

Our Buildings

Our Buildings

At Alavida Lifestyles, we offer spacious, well-planned layouts and excellent, en-suite amenities – such as laundry, high-speed internet, phone, cable and climate control, and the most reliable security and fire-suppression system. In fact, we received an A+ on our review by the Retirement Home Regulatory Authority, we are an approved member of ORCA, and the Ottawa Fire Department has been very impressed with our investment in EVAC Chairs and our building designs that consider fire safety – contributing to record speed in fire drills. It is the passion to create a beautiful home, the meticulousness of our designs, and the caliber of the materials we select that make us a notch above the rest.

Recognition

On a regular basis, we recognize the achievements and greatness of our employees with long-service awards, development-training days, and monthly appreciation meetings where we collect and celebrate comments from our residents about staff who have gone above and beyond their roles – we call them “WOW” moments and we sure do have a lot of them!

Each year, hundreds of companies are nominated for their contributions to Ottawa’s success and in 2016 the Ravines won “Best Assisted Living in Ottawa” from SeniorAdvisor.com, in 2013 our Promenade location won the title of People’s Choice Business of the Year, and in 2011, People’s Choice Service Business of the Year! It was a great honour and a reflection of the service we provide.

Testimonials

August 1st, 2018 marked the one year anniversary for my mother’s residency at the Ravines. I would like to extend a very special thank you to you for your dedication to making her life at the Ravines such a lovely experience. You and your staff continually strive for excellence in senior’s care making the Ravines one of the best Retirement Residences in the city. Once again thank you very much for your hard work and dedication and always putting a personal touch on everything.

  • Idelle Matte

We would like to thank Alavida Lifestyles, Park Place, for the professional care and services we received when our 95-year old father was in ”Respite Convalescent Care” after an oral surgery. All staff we dealt with – the nurses, the personal care attendants, the cook, the administrative and senior staff, were exceptional, attentive to special needs, accommodating and congenial. Listening to long-term residents’ comments confirmed our experience, as they expressed how the services, social activities, choice of food and great atmosphere in Park Place influence their life in a positive manner. The adjacent park also contributes to a serene environment.

  • Fernande & Ginette Forgues & Family

My wife and I visited ten different residences before choosing Park Place; that was two and a half years ago and we have no regrets.

– Dalton McIntyre, Seniors’ Suites Resident Council Chair-Person at Park Place

Park Place is well maintained, has pleasant and helpful staff, and a good atmosphere; it’s a good place to live.

- Kay Barrett on living at Park Place

Promenade is an integral part of the Orleans community, they offer a quality lifestyle for seniors.
