Ravines Reviews
Distinguished craftsmanship, outstanding service.Discover what our residents and their families have to say
about us!
The meals are fabulous and really good quality. There are three nutritious meals a day—the staff is very conscious of producing good food. The servers are also very friendly, and they clean up afterwards completely. And you get to enjoy your meal with your friends at the table. If I’ve gone out, I’ll be sure to hurry back to make it for mealtime!
One of the highlights for me is our dinner celebrations. Whether it’s for an anniversary or someone’s birthday, these dinners are always special. It’s truly heartwarming to feel appreciated and celebrated alongside other residents for these occasions, especially those who may not have close family to celebrate with.
We had looked at several residences before the Ravines and after our tour was over we were exceedingly happy to sign on the dotted line. The staff here are wonderful. The residents are happy, friendly and motivated. There are many things to occupy one’s time – the pool and hot tub, an attached room with all the exercise equipment one would need and several types of chair or standing exercises given by professional teachers. There are frequent outings on the bus and the food at the Ravines is excellent. We have been very happy with our choice of residence and the extremely friendly and professional atmosphere. We very highly recommend this senior’s residence.
I appreciate the openness to change and suggestions. The staff here is always willing to listen and work on implementing new ideas. There are also plenty of activities to choose from, depending on your interests, and there’s always something to amuse you. Whether you’re into knitting or board games, there’s a group for everyone here.
The best part about living at the Ravines is the friendliness and community. You never have to worry about feeling lonely or isolated. If someone wants to do something, all they have to do is step downstairs, and they will find a variety of activities to participate in or someone to talk to. There’s always something happening, so you never feel confined to your room.
The staff here are truly exceptional. They are patient, well-trained, and possess a deep understanding of elderly care, which is so important. Even when we feel a bit moody or are in pain, they remain kind and compassionate. If we can’t move around on a particular day, they bring meals and entertainment to us so that our days don’t feel monotonous. They strive to make life enjoyable for everyone here, I can’t say enough good words about them!
My mother has been a resident at the Ravines on the 2nd floor for the past 7 years. She suffers from Dementia. Her care has been excellent. The management has been responsive and kind. PSW’s Sandra, Patrick and Steve are an asset to their profession.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff. They genuinely care for us. Over time, they get to know your preferences and interests. For instance, they know exactly how and when I like my tea. I find them to be incredibly hardworking and dedicated, which is something I greatly appreciate.
August 1st, 2018, marked the one-year anniversary of my mother’s residency at the Ravines. I would like to extend a very special thank you for your dedication to making her life at the Ravines such a lovely experience. You and your staff continually strive for excellence in senior care, making the Ravines one of the best retirement residences in the city. Once again, thank you very much for your hard work and dedication and for always putting a personal touch on everything.
After the sale of our house in twenty four hours, Ravines winter stay offer allowed us to move quickly and experience Senior Retirement living which has been most enjoyable. Fine dining, exercises classes, pool, daily events and excellent staff have made all aspects of this life style change more than exceed our expectations. Retirement living is like being on a cruise ship without the ocean!
There have been so many great experiences here that it’s hard to pick just one. However, I particularly enjoy the quietness and openness of the environment. There’s a beautiful pathway that leads to the end of the street, where you can spot all kinds of wildlife.
What’s great is that this building, where everyone has their own apartment, is attached to another building with assisted living. So if you became really ill, you could move over to the other building. I love this feature; it makes me feel very secure that that’s available. That’s a really important feature.
